I, CHUNG CHI CHEUNG, the Petitioner named in the foregoing Petition at present confined in Stanley Gaol in the Colony of Hong Kong under sentence of death, do solemnly sincerely and truly affirm and say as follows:-
1.
That I have preferred a Petition to His Majesty in Council for the reversal of the Judgment of the Full Court of Hong Kong dated the 15th day of October 1937 whereby the decision of His Honour the Chief Justice of Hong Kong that the Supreme Court of Hong Kong had jurisdic-
tion to try me on the charge of murder set out in the said Petition was upheld.
2. That I am not worth the sum of £25 in the world excepting my wearing apparel,
am unable to provide sureties or security for the costs of such appeal.
and
And lastly I solemnly sincerely and truly affirm and say that the contents of this my
Affirmation are true.
AFFIRMED at the Gaol at Stanley in the
Colony of Hong Kong, this 17th day of
November 1937, the same having been
first duly interpreted to the Affirmor
